Surprise!!! We’re Married!

We’ve decided to elope! Our ceremony took place on September 28, 2026 at Loveland Pass in Keystone, CO. While our ceremony was small and private, we do want to share our joy and adventures with you all! We have created this website to share details about our ceremony. Explore the various site pages to learn more. We recommend starting from “Our Story” and going from there. We hope you find joy in our adventures and celebrate with us from near and far!

Our Wedding

Our Special Day

Getting to this point took some planning, but honestly, it was such a fun experience! After figuring out what mattered most to us, we decided to elope well over a year in advance. Choosing where and when to make it happen took a little research, too. We knew we didn’t want a typical Vegas or courthouse wedding. Instead, we wanted something beautiful, memorable, and a little outside the box—something you don’t see every day and might not even think of at first.

That’s when Colorado came to mind. With its breathtaking scenery and mountain views, it felt like the perfect place to say “I do.” Who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by fairy-tale like mountains on their wedding day? Colorado also made the decision even easier thanks to its marriage laws, which make eloping surprisingly simple. No officiant or formal ceremony is required! In fact, we legally married ourselves the morning of our ceremony. Just the two of us. We literally walked into the Broomfield County Courthouse, signed a few papers, and walked out legally married.

Of course, there was still plenty to do before the big day. Luckily, we found a Colorado-based elopement planner who helped connect us with our vendors and bring everything together. We went suit and dress shopping, picked out a bouquet and boutonnière (courtesy of Amazon), ordered a few extra details, and coordinated with our vendors to make sure everything was ready for the day.

One of the most special parts of the experience was having Sydney, a longtime friend of ours, join us as our officiant for the ceremony. She prepared a beautiful speech for us, helped us get ready beforehand, supported us throughout the ceremony, and was there to help us decompress afterward. Having a familiar face by our side made the experience that much more meaningful.

And while the setting was absolutely beautiful, the weather kept us guessing right up until the big day! Loveland Pass is known for its unpredictable mountain weather, so we weren’t sure if we’d be dealing with both rain and cold during our ceremony. Thankfully, the rain stayed away, but the cold definitely showed up! While Denver was enjoying a comfortable 70–80°F, temperatures up at Loveland Pass hovered around 40°F thanks to the high altitude. Needless to say, we were ready to warm up afterward! We wrapped up the day with a delicious meal at Ocean Prime in downtown Denver. And at the end of the night, we celebrated some more with cake!

All in all, the ceremony went incredibly smoothly. We had a minor nail emergency that only needed a little glue to fix, and, of course, we had to brave the cold, but everything else came together just as we’d hoped. One of the best parts was how little we had to worry about in the moment. Once we committed to a date and location, the rest of the planning fell into place more easily than we expected.

Looking back, eloping was such a wonderful decision for us. It gave us the chance to focus on what mattered most, celebrate our relationship in a beautiful and meaningful way, and create a memory that was entirely our own.

And then our adventures as husband and wife began! Check out our photos section to see all the places we landed.

Our Story

Chris’ VowsMy Queen,From the very first moment I laid eyes on you and looked into them, I knew I was looking at someone special with a beautiful heart and soul. I knew you would become my favorite person, my best friend, and the beautiful queen I could see myself spending the rest of my life with.I promise to always be there for you, to give you my all, and to be the best husband I can possibly be. I promise to support you whenever you need me most, to love you through every season of life, and to always stand by your side.I know we’ve had our ups and downs, and I can’t promise that there won’t be difficult moments. But what I do know is that, with patience, love, and understanding, we can get through anything we put our minds to because no matter what, we never give up on each other. On this day, I choose you as my wife, my beautiful queen, and my best friend. And I’ll keep choosing you day in and day out, because there’s a reason we made it to this day and that reason is that, through everything, I’ve always loved you.Rosa’s VowsChris,If you had told me that I’d meet the love of my life on a dating app, I probably would’ve laughed— But somehow, there you were, and from then on, you made something unexpected feel completely right.I never thought I’d find someone who loves me the way you do—fully, patiently, and without hesitation. And honestly, I really didn’t think I’d find someone who could handle my attitude as well as you have. Yet here you are, steady as ever, reminding me every day that love doesn’t have to be complicated to be real. You are the most loving person I know. In a world that can feel loud and chaotic, you bring me a kind of calm that I didn’t even realize I needed. You’ve softened parts of me I thought were permanent—including, somehow, causing me to like pink and wear dresses again, which I didn’t think was possible. But more than that, you’ve shown me what it feels like to be safe.I’ve spent most of my life being independent—sometimes to a fault. I built walls, learned to rely only on myself, and told myself that was strength. But with you, I’ve learned a different kind of strength—the kind that comes from trust. The kind that lets me put my guard down. With you, I don’t have to do everything alone. I get to be vulnerable. I get to be cared for. I even get to be the damsel in distress every once in a while—and honestly, I don’t hate it.Today, as we choose to make this moment about us, it feels exactly right. No distractions, no expectations—just the two of us, building something that’s entirely our own.I promise to support you and give you my honest opinion in everything you do, to stand beside you in the good moments and the hard ones.I promise to build a life with you that is full of banter, and that is grounded in stability, even when everything else feels uncertain.I promise to grow with you—to keep learning, evolving, and choosing us, over and over again. And I promise to keep bringing my full self into this marriage… attitude included.Chris, you are my partner, my calm, and my home. And I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life loving you.I choose you—forever and always.”
